Travel Tips

At True North Naturals, we believe that travel is not just about reaching your destination, but also about enjoying the journey. Here are some essential travel tips and etiquette to keep in mind, especially for Canadian naturists.

Essential Tips & Travel Etiquette

Pack Accordingly: Bring plenty of sunscreen, as more of your skin will be exposed, along with a sun hat, sunglasses, and insect repellent.

The "Two Towel" Rule: It is considered crucial etiquette among Canadian naturists to carry a towel to sit on, ensuring you don't sit directly on chairs or communal surfaces, and a second one for drying off.

Respect Privacy and Boundaries: Do not take photos or videos without explicit, prior consent, and avoid staring or gawking. This is especially important in clothing-optional settings.

Check Policies: Each resort or beach has specific guidelines. It is recommended to check websites or call ahead, particularly for first-time visits.

Bring Cover-ups: Always have a sarong, kimono, or easy-to-wear clothing available, particularly if visiting a resort restaurant or clubhouse.

Be Mindful of Surroundings: Ensure you are in a designated nude area before disrobing, particularly at public beaches, resorts, and clubs, and be respectful of others.

Safety & Comfort

Bring Proper Footwear: Even at clothing-optional beaches, sturdy footwear is recommended for navigating trails or rocky shores, sea urchins, etc.

Stay Warm: Be prepared for chilly evenings, even in summer and tropical locations, by packing light jackets or warm layers.

Socializing: Canadian naturists are generally friendly and welcoming, making it easy to meet people while also respecting privacy, creating a "no-stress" environment.
